Visit Baguio Lourdes Grotto
(Baguio City, Philippines) Looking for fun things to do in Baguio City? Baguio is known as the summer capital of Philippines and it is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Luzon. Pine scented cool breeze is the peculiarity of this city. Apart from the cold weather and fresh food, you can also enjoy Boating, shopping, and horseback riding in this city.

Sketching sessions with artists in Tam-awan Village

Even though there are malls in which you can have sketching sessions with artists in Manila, it is something different to have it with cool pine breeze blowing around you and the soft sound of nature in Tam-awan Village. The artists staying in Tam-awan Village will give a finished sketch within an hour while having green salad in their in-house restaurant or while touring around the traditional houses in the village.
Souvenir Shopping

There are many beautiful gifts including wooden carvings, silver jewelry, woven cloths and other handicrafts that are produced in the Mountain Province and Benguet. If you want to save money, buy your souvenir items inside the public market.

One of the famous activities of Baguio tourists is Ukay-Ukay shopping. Ukay Ukay shops are stores that sell secondhand goods (such as clothing, shoes, bags, furniture, etc.) at dirt cheap prices. Products are usually shipped from the US, Hong Kong, and Europe to the Philippines. The streets fronting Burnham Park becomes an Ukay-Ukay haven every night starting from 9pm till 2am. A good selection of second-hand goods are available in Session Road but they are a bit expensive.
Stopover at StoBoSa Hillside Homes Artwork

The Colors of StoBoSa, officially designated as the StoBoSa Hillside Homes Artwork, is a community artwork designed by the Tam-awan Village group and is a locally recognized tourist attraction in the town of La Trinidad, Benguet. The paintwork of multiple houses composes the single artwork.

Within the church, grounds is the Museo ng Republika ng 1899, oftentimes called Barasoain Museum by locals and tourists. The museum houses five galleries that showcases the Filipino’s fight for independence, like the Pagtindig ng Republika gallery, which tells the story of the drafting of the Malolos Constitution.
Angat River adventure
After a milder, peaceful, walking tour in Malolos, we headed to San Rafael, where we had our loud, energetic, and awesome San Rafael River Adventure (official website)!

This place was beyond beautiful—it was located at a nice distance from the noisy roads, and most of all, it overlooked the Angat River. However, I could not stop to marvel at this nature’s beauty, because we were so fixated on watching our colleagues doing some kayaking, paddle boarding, and even jet-skiing. They also offer a ride at banana boating in addition to the ordinary boat, and wakeboarding as well.

After our adventure, we hit the road and headed to Aquino Center and Museum in Hacienda Luisita, San Miguel, Tarlac.
The museum is dedicated to the late Senator Benigno Aquino Jr. and his wife, late President Corazon Aquino. The galleries showcase photographs and other memorabilia of the couple and their contributions to Philippine history.

As the sun set in the horizon and it started to get dark, we knew that it was time for dinner—with a twist. We headed to Kart City to have a final dose of fun before we capped the evening with a meal. Our group was given a chance to kart, and drove around like crazy (within the speed limit, of course!). Nearby was their diner called Chaps Café, where we had our evening meal of BBQ, Pasta, Salad, among others.
.

Tarlac is one of those places that most people overlook even if most buses pass by it en route to and from big cities like Manila. This is why I think that our second day in NLEX Lakbay Norte 2018, a 5-day road trip to the northern tourist destinations in the Philippines, was a really great way of revealing to us this hidden beauty in the north

We had a sort-of breakfast at the café. We had some French toast, Hana Penne and Beefy Penne, some tacos, a plate of Pancit Anao, and of course, coffee. As I took a bite in each of what they served, I thought it was amazing how a strong friendship can produce such wonderful things.

We also visited St. Josemaria Escriva Parish nearby. This is also another “first”. This is the first church built in the Philippines that is dedicated to the saint, frequently called the Saint of the Ordinary. It was easy to marvel at the church, which was established in early 2003 because it had a short “drive-through” Blessed Sacrament at the back.

The locals showed us how Pickled Mangoes, Mango Vinegar, and Eggche Flan were made. What wowed me more was how they transformed water lilies into woven products, another showcase of talents.T
Museums, historical sites, bazaars, resorts, and beaches—they are all a short drive away.

Things to do in Cebu at night
Things to do in Cebu at night
In addition to her magnificent beaches and churches, Cebu offers a wide variety of great nightlife. You can find plenty of bars, nightclubs, pubs, and restaurants that cater to any budget and preference! So where to go on your night out in Cebu? Here are 10 options for the best things to do in Cebu at night!
- Top’s Lookout

P
Tops Lookout Cebu is the perfect place to unwind and take a short break away from the busy city noise. Looking at this magnificent scenery you will feel relaxed instantly! Be sure to take a bit of money when you go because admission to the lookout is at 100 pesos. Also, you might want to buy some snacks or drinks from one of the vendors.
We suggest to go here during the late afternoon so you can see the breathtaking sunset! An even better option would be to go Landscape Painting from the Top of Cebu there during the day (really nice to do) and then stay for the sunset!
Explore White Beach
Explore White beach from one side to the other. My favourite part is the right corner going to Diniview beach, is calm, clean, extremely beautiful! The beach has beautiful turquoise waters and it’s super warm. Go through the bars, the shops, the markets, there is always something to do here.

Diniview Beach
A small beach with some small resorts and bars, is very quiet and ideal for those who don’t like crowds!

As I have mentioned above, DON’Tenclose yourself completely in White Beach especially if you want to escape the horde of people. Of course it holds that iconic splendor that you’ve seen in photos but if you’re looking for more tranquility, you can still achieve it in the rest of the island. You see, the great thing about Boracay is that there are a lot of other areas that you can go to, and they are equally picturesque as that of the prominent White Beach.
And the best thing about it? There are 13 of them and they are not too far away from one another because Boracay is a small island that is only approximately 7 kilometers long. To best illustrate where these beaches are located, see the map below:

Bulabog Beach
If you’re into beach sports like kiteboarding, parasailing, and windsurfing then this is the beach for you! You will instantly feel the vibrant vibe due to these adrenaline-pumped water activities done by local and tourists alike, so if you’re for this kind of thing, make sure to book a hotel in this part of the island.

- Lagutan Beach
This is actually one of the places where boats dock in Boracay. Though it may not be as scenic as the others, photographers may find the charm of this place frame-worthy.
- Cagban Beach
Much like Lagutan, this is one of the boat docks in the island (it’s actually the main port), but somewhere near this area, you can find private spots to relax in under the sun.

Diniwid Beach
This is close to White Beach’s Station 1 and it is full of backpacker-friendly resorts. What I like about this place (that is only 200m long) are the stunning cliff side views! To add, there is also a crowd favorite here called Spider House and it is a great place to hangout. Otherwise, you can lounge in the water or lie down on a floating wooden piece that they have set up.

Mt Apo photo by Incrediblethots via Flickr
Mt. Apo is said to be the highest peak in the Philippines. Arm yourself with the proper gears, a healthy pair of lungs, some good trekking shoes, a good supply of oxygen (and reserve if you may need one), some skills in trekking and you are good to go. There are three packages you can choose from, one is the Group Package, then there’s the pair package, then if you’re flying solo, there’s a package for that too.

Davao Eagle Park
Intriguing names don’t you think? Well these are no other than the famous royalty of the animal and plant kingdoms, the Waling waling and Philippine Eaglerespectively. Euanthe sanderiana has been called as the Queen of Philippine Flowers, and it is also an endemic species (this plant can only be found in this island alone) in Mindanao, specifically in Davao, Cotabato and Zambaonga. While the Pithecophaga jefferyi is the country’s national bird and is only found here in the Philippines.
